Redwood Reminiscing...
Updated: Mar 16, 2022
I was recently transferring a bunch of local hard drive files to my Google Drive, and came across our live archive of Redwood shows. This particular show captures the essence of the band at our heyday. Super loose, rocky, and passionate (and plenty of wrong notes). We're at Boswell's in Campbell, August 12th 2011. Boswell's closed its doors a while back, but it definitely represented the best of a few staple Southbay bar venues. I remember how the Pruneyard was turning over and all the techy-upscale businesses were moving in...this rad dude who was otherwise a regular bartender sat at the door with a decibel reader and he would signal us if we got too loud...ridiculous, but not the venue's fault. I also remember this guy that had way too much to drink. He kept wandering over to one of those old-school digital jukeboxes and pressing buttons. He couldn't figure out for the life of him why the music wouldn't change while we were playing...
Here is the song that started it all - Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus
Roberto, Graham, and Lauren were the best of friends and awesome bandmates...
